$20,000 RAISED FOR MEN & WOMEN WITH BREAST CANCER
Parry Sound Ontario – MAY 7, 2012 – On April 27 & 28th the 3rd Annual TraX4 Breast Cancer ATV ride occurred in with conjunction with the 12th annual Spring Jam event in Parry Sound.
Over 200 ATV participants took part in the annual Spring Jam. All participants supported the cause in one form or another throughout the weekend including ones that took part in fundraising and the exclusive CanAm pink Ribbon Ride on Friday. The weekend was jammed pack with events with central command at the Foley Fairgrounds.
Kicking off the weekend, everyone had the chance to visit Spring Jam’s ATV Village, where industry related companies displayed current ATV related items. Participants were able to take part in the exclusive rumble ride which took them on a unique ride through the town of Parry Sound with views of Georgian Bay, the Harbour and final stop at the West Parry Sound Museum on Tower Hill where various dignitaries greeted everyone. The fun Poker Jam had everyone participating, making stops throughout the weekend at the various local poker jam sponsors in order to try and play their winning Poker hand for cash prizes.
All riders were treated to a scrumptious TraX4 Breast Cancer breakfast Saturday at the Foley Fairgrounds catered by local restaurant “Blake’s Memories of Muskoka” before they headed off for a fun filled day on their trail of choice. At the end of the day everyone was welcomed back with a 5 star dinner catered by the Log Cabin. Part of the dinner included the opportunity to bid on some exciting silent auction prizes before the evening closed.
We are pleased to announce this year’s top three fundraisers were Mitch Kleinstein, Laurie Demarte and Jamie Delson. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to raise money to be a part of this event! All proceeds go to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation who offers financial assistance to breast cancer patients across Canada.
Again this year, TraX4 Breast Cancer was welcomed with open arms by the regular Jam participants. Special thanks to every member of the Spring Jam organizing committee for embracing the TraX4 Breast Cancer event in support of the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation.
